If tourism destroys the environment with negative impacts, it also plays a very big role in the preservation of the natural environment of the destination areas. As tourism industry benefits from the tourism sites, it should be its morally responsible to take a pivotal role in the conservation of the natural setting from which it gets benefits.
The Industrial Revolution of the nineteenth and the eighteenth centuries brought about much of the base of today’s pollutants. A series of technological advances in machinery, such as the steam engine, along with a preponderance of other goods shifting from homes and small factories to large industrial settings brought about more and more pollution.
After all, they became rich in the first place by destroying their environment in the industrial revolution. Now that they have cut down their own trees, polluted their water sources and poured billions of tons of carbon into the air, they are in no position to tell others to behave differently.
The main question that motivates my PhD thesis is how economic activity in developing countries is influenced by and, in turn, affects the environment. Since these interactions can take many forms, I investigate this issue from three different angles, which necessitates both the usage of novel remote-sensing-based datasets and the development of a new theoretical framework.
Environmental pollution is one of the main threats for our planet. Pollution destroys the living environment and endangers human existence on Earth. No doubt, the economy finds many benefits in technological development. However, toxic emissions due to the work of factories, transportation, construction sites pollute the environment substantially.
The impact of industrialization on the environment has led the way with certain positive and large negative outcomes, with progressive rates and inventions. There are quite a number of resourceful natural elements like, water, air, soil and fisheries, which are considered to be positive and fertile assets.
The Industrial Revolution also saw the development of the steam engine, which was an engine that used steam to perform work. Steam engines were used in transportation and to power factories.
